Jesus expressed the goal of His mission here on earth in Luke 4:18. He said that the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him, and anointed Him to preach to the poor, proclaim freedom for the prisoners, heal the sick, and release the oppressed. It is our mission to see prisoners of sin, guilt, and condemnation set totally free! This is made possible through the shed blood of Jesus, and opening the door for His Spirit to touch, transform, and liberate lives!

We are a Spirit-filled, non-denominational church. In Matthew 22:37, Jesus shared what is commonly referred to as the Great Commandment. More than any other commandment in the Bible, we believe we are to love God and love people. The second you step into Freedom Reigns you will experience the love of the people, and it won’t take long to see how much we love Jesus! We want to see God bring salvation to the sinner, healing to the hurting, and deliverance to the captives! Through solid Biblical teaching, and the leading of the Holy Spirit we want to see those who are already founded on Jesus Christ brought into the fullness of what God has called them to do!

Many churches either have no vision or clearly defined direction. For this reason, many churches simply exist and ultimately do exactly what Solomon was talking about in Proverbs 29:18 – perish!

Our vision is clearly stated in the name of our church, “Freedom Reigns in Christ”. It is our goal to see that simple truth become a reality in the lives of believers and unbelievers alike.

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16). There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19). We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory, (John 3:16; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-6) and in the blessed hope – the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming (Titus 2:13). The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ (John 14:6). Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation (Titus 3:5). We believe in water baptism by immersion (Matthew 28:19) and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is given to believers who ask for it (Acts 2:4). The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer (1 Peter 2:24). We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (Galatians 5:16-25) and in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation (Revelation 20:11-15)

The name Freedom Reigns in Christ ties directly into what our vision and mission statement for the church is. There is incredible freedom for those who walk in Christ Jesus!

With this freedom, we are able to worship in spirt and in truth (John 4:24). We are able to receive spiritual, emotion, and physical healing, as well as share those same gifts with others (Matthew 10:8). We are free from the law of sin and death that rules the world (Romans 8:2) and free to walk delivered from the bondages Jesus has freed us from (Galatians 5:1). We are able to serve Jesus (Corinthians 7:22), receiving from the waters of eternal life (Revelation 21:6) and all other things from God (Romans 8:23). In this freedom, we live and walk by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25).

In Christ, there is salvation (2 Timothy 2:10). You are declared righteous and justified (Romans 3:24) and made righteous and sanctified (1 Corinthians 1:2). There is wisdom (1 Corinthians 4:10) and the veil of spiritual blindness and confusion is taken away (2 Corinthians 3:14). In Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). We have freedom (Galatians 2:4) and are welcomed aside from our race or gender (Galatians 3:28). We are seated in heavenly places, above all bondage, sickness, and things of the world (Ephesians 2:13) and we are brought close to Jesus (Ephesians 2:13). There is boldness and faith (1 Timothy 3:13), a true unity in the body (Romans 12:5), and spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3). In Christ, we have our calling and grace (2 Timothy 1:9).

• Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners [1 Timothy 1:15b (KJV)].
• He also came to free us from our sins! (Matthew 1:21)
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life [Romans 6:22 (KJV)].
•The Holy Spirit is free to reign in this house!
•The Holy Spirit is truth! (1 John 5:6)
•Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom! (2 Corinthians 3:17)
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free [John 8:32 (KJV)].
•If the Son gives you freedom, you are free! [John 8:36 (CEV)]
So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed [John 8:36 (NASB)].
